
Michael Parenti received his Ph.D. in political science from Yale University and subsequently taught at several universities, colleges, and other institutions. Today, he writes prolifically on a wide range of progressive issues and lectures frequently throughout the United States and abroad. He serves on the advisory boards of Independent Progressive Politics Network, Education Without Borders, and the Jasenovic Foundation; as well as the advisory editorial boards of New Political Science and Nature, Society and Thought, and has long been associated with Project Censored. Among his 20 books are Contrary Notions: The Michael Parenti Reader, Democracy for the Few, The Culture Struggle, Superpatriotism, To Kill a Nation: The Attack on Yugoslavia, and History as Mystery. His most recent book (2010) is God and His Demons.
